Brief History

Warangal Fort is characterised by three concentric circuits of fortifications believed to have been laid out during Ganapatideva’s time. In the heart of the fort are the ruins of structures like Swayambhu temple with four Torna entrances, Ramalingeswara and Venkateswara temples. Khush Mahal, pavilions, Bastion over the Ekasila hill, Gateways and many small temples and other structures dotted in the area are Nelasambuni Temple, Varalamma Temple, Horse stable, Chetu Banda, Jangamayya Temple, Konda Masjid, Shrungaram Bavi, Mandalamma Temple, Ammunition store, Lanjapatra Gandi Temple, Deepa Gadda
